This was a really intriguing, fully immersive theatrical experience-- I felt totally transported by the ambiance-- candles, white sheets, and a mysterious cast ushered us into our experience and lined us up, and the entire first scene of the show took place ina narrow corridor. The piece integrates dance, movement and some REALLY intense stage combat, all happening inches away from the audience-- I honestly have no idea how they manage not to kick someone in the face, the precision of movement is so crisp! This is not a show you'll get to tune out during-- scenes move through the space, audience is moved around, and sometimes you might even wind up in the scene somehow! The performers were all absolutely amazing, which is why I would above a...

I think it is a stretch to call this "immersive" just because we were moved around physically through the space. The play could use some significant improvements, but might in the long run be best suited within the confines of a proscenium arch. As presented, the shortcomings of the production served as a consistent distraction from the storyline. ...

An entertaining and intriguing theatrical version of a gothic classic (well, actually two). Kudos to Dracula, Lucy, Harker, Van Helsing, Mina and Seward in particular for bring so much nuance on stage. I have seen so many DRACULAs on stage so that am forever looking for an original, intriguing one. This production certainly qualifies on so many levels. Bravo! ...

There are so many good things about the production--lighting, music, atmosphere, interaction, immersive elements--that the flaws are quite stark in comparison. I feel that some great opportunities for exploration of feminine power, sexuality, authority, and creation (creating another vampire like you as a metaphor for childbirth) were left lying on the table. There's a lot of potential. ...

A rethink of the Dracula tale, this show defies description. Part mildly interactive immersive theater piece, part heavy drama, part dance performance, a strong cast energetically throws themselves into the material (sometimes literally) and produces a sad tale of a woman who rose from tragedy to become a monster. Catch that detail? Dracula is a woman in this version, and it adds a level of gender politics to the piece that never is pointed to heavily, simply enhances the proceedings. This piece places you in the center of the action. Dramatic encounters take place inches from the audience, sometimes even overflowing into it. At times intimidating, at times enthralling, this experimental staging, for me, increased the intensity of the show...
