Well. This show is incredible. You will laugh, you will cry and you will learn! I am still reeling at the dizzying display of knowledge and craftsmanship that went into the script alone, not to mention the actor who performs it. Michael Shaw Fisher absolutely embodies The Bard and you will forget you aren't really watching Shakespeare himself. MSF transforms himself before your eyes as he tells the captivating story of William Shakespeare's life in an incredibly imaginative way. The music was wonderful, the use of space was fantastic and the show amazing. See this now!... full review

Michael Shaw Fisher is a killer and I absolutely fell in love with him! So much fun and such talent as a writer and performer. It could be a three act play and I’d sit there gladly. Go see anything he does, you won’t be disappointed. Dang I wish he wasn’t married.... full review

I was blown away by the sheer talent on display for this piece. From the acting, to the music, to the singing, everything comes together in a sublime mash of irreverence and fun. I absolutely loved walking into the show with Shakespeare already on the stage, passed out on his table. Immediately set the tone for the entire show and told me I was in safe hands as an audience member. Little did I know that I would be part of the show as Michael Shaw Fisher creates characters out of his spectators. The entire thing was a delight and I cannot wait to see it again. I give it my highest recommendation. ... full review

There's no point in my reviewing this show, because I feel it's all been said. Words like "brilliant," "funny," "touching" (I do wish he'd stop touching me), "intelligent," don't do the show justice. And as a huge Bardophile, I was not only blown away by MSF's performance, but by the way the script can be used as both a captivating story and as quality argumentative material for the authorship debate. I heard about this "Michael Shaw Fisher" guy last year when he was winning all those awards, and now that I've seen a few of his works, I get what all the hullabaloo is about. Please send me my fan club membership card and 8x10 glossy.... full review

Great fun. Fisher is a wonderful performer and writer. His "Shakespeare" is spot on. An additional plus is catching all references to the original Shakespeare's plays and poems, but you don't need to be a scholar to have a wonderful time at this show.... full review

Okay, I'm looking for a box that I can check that is higher than "Amazing". This was a mind blowing experience. Michael Shaw Fisher is a gift to American Theater, I was captivated from start to finish. His work never ceases to bewilder and astound. Put this first on your Must See List. ... full review

Beautiful singing, artful story telling and... very sneakily... a historical lesson about Shakespeare's life. I learned a lot and enjoyed it! Normally I hate 1 man shows. It's hard to build a relationship with people that aren't physically there and often more difficult for the audience to believe that relationship. But in this show Fisher keeps the focus active by interacting with the audience and keeping the conversations with off stage persons to a minimum. ... full review

This show is fascinating for fans of Shakespeare and the use of music and Elizabethan English combined with modern double entendres is truly astonishing. The only caveat is that this is not a good show for the casual Shakespeare reader!... full review

#ChanceItLA - If you are a big Shakespeare and or history fan you definitely want to see this, but if the personal life of Shakespeare holds no interest to you, you should probably skip it. Michael Shaw Fisher, as Shakespeare, is a consummate performer and engages the audience through fun insults, groan worthy puns and a several songs, a couple of which included audience participation. Three Clubs is the perfect venue for this show, as you feel like you are in a tavern with Shakespeare. But as a whole, this is a biography, a cleverly done biography, but one that doesn't necessarily shed new insight into the life of the famous bard.... full review
