Best Solo Performance. Michael’s love for Shakespeare pours out of him effortlessly. Super talented actor that kept us all engaged with stories and songs. The music and the venue ambiance were perfect for this show. I am glad we saw this show!!!!... full review

One of the most surprising offerings at this year's Fringe. Here's a "one-man" show that actually feels like a play! With book, music, lyrics by Michael Shaw Fisher, we visit an Elizabethan pub where we are regaled by stories and songs from none other than Shakespeare, played by Mr. Fisher, who drunkenly fears that history will call him out for NOT writing his plays, so he proves to us, his pub-mates, that he is indeed the verified scribe of the famous folio. By turns funny and emotional, it's clear that director Jeff Sumner understood that the event (which takes place on Shakespeare's last night on earth) is grounded in reality. Also stunning is the Elizabethan music, played by Alistair Cooper on guitar, and Allison Sulock on a variety of R... full review

I absolutely loved this show. Michael was awesome. He had the ability to bring the audience with him on is journey though Shakespeare's works. He has a great voice and his comedic timing is impeccable. ... full review

So intelligent, clever, well-researched, and hilarious. Witty, bawdy, and fun. And the more dramatic moments were so lovely.... full review

This show ROCKS, in that Shakespeare-as-swaggering-stud-of-the-pub-scene way! Michael Shaw Fisher embodies the Bard as a regretful middle-aged man nearing his Final Curtain, sharing the highs & lows of his life through biographical recreation and music...and what FANTASTIC musical accompaniment Allison Sulock & Alistair Cooper create! Lyrically witty and breezily paced by director Jeff Sumner, this show is truly Elizabethan time travel not to be missed by fans of Shakespeare. And did I mention the swaggering? Awesome stuff. ... full review

What a completely enjoyable show! For those that like the playfulness of a Shakespeare comedy. A delightful experience in a great setting, I enjoyed the show even more than I thought I would. Some small audience participation that's fun and not embarrassing, and just pretty damn fun. Great two piece accompaniment, also!... full review

As a member of Orgasmico Theatre Company, this review may read slightly biased. However, with all sincerity, Michael's latest feat was brilliant. His performances always wow me but he has gone above and beyond by nailing every single moment of his one person musical with heart, charm, passion, hilarity, and pathos. This is a must see, fully entertaining experience.... full review

This was a delight, full of un-expectations. This really was WILL - THE MUSICAL with such lyrical, evocative and funny songs delivered superlatively by performer, composer, researcher Michael Shaw Fisher. And the wonderful music-scape by Alistair Cooper and Allison Sulock were equally entrancing. The show is perfectly set in the Three Clubs venue and Michael's facility with the audience was captivating and playful. What a gem of a piece! Surely this is the kernel of a full blown musical about the bard? ... full review

I'm nearly at a loss for words attempting to write a review that would do justice to Michael Shaw Fisher's stunning performance... and then, to remind myself he WROTE THIS, TOO! This is an inspired piece that I can imagine The Bard himself would have LOVED - smart, clever, informed, emotional, playful. This is just an extraordinary piece of theater and I am in awe of Michael and his talent. Bravo, good sir! ... full review
