"Women" is a treat - well written, crisply acted, thoughtful, and highly entertaining. You'll love the self-obsessed language of the manipulative "girls" in this play as well as the unexpected musical numbers. ... full review

This show is something truly special, the collaborative effort between an amazingly talented cast and Chiara Atik's writing is beyond magical. You will laugh heartily, even if you aren't familiar with HBO's Girls or Alcott's Little Women, however if you're fans of either YOU WOULD BE INSANE TO MISS THIS PRODUCTION. Easily my fringe favorite so far, I almost couldn't deal with how great it was.... full review

The hands-down laughs-per-minute champ at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival may well be Women (aka Women The Show), Chiara Atik’s NYC-bred mashup of Louisa Mae Alcott’s Little Women and Lena Dunham’s Girls, and you don’t have to know a thing about the HBO hit to have a Fringetastic time with Jo, Meg, Beth, Amy and their entourage. Yes, fans of Dunham’s 21st Century big girls will likely recognize Marmie’s brood as (respectively) Hannah, Marnie, Shoshanna, and Jessa—or so I’m told—but all you really need to know is that the second Marmie has left the room, the March girls start gabbing in contemporary big-city-girl vernacular (sis Amy’s delivered with Jessa’s crisp British vowels, never mind why) despite period garb and references to t... full review

Do not walk RUN to see this show before it's sold out, or pray it gets extended. I am going a second time myself. This goes much further than the original concept, which is basically genius, and manages to delight and surprise at every turn. People who love Little Women and/or GIRLS will dig the hell of out it, but someone who isn't familiar with those would love it too. The performances are funny yet grounded, with the whole play being hilarious with some very touching moments! My only notes for the production would be to take your time - they seem to have gotten caught up in the idea that it is "fast paced" and sometimes moments don't land quite the way they could. The other note is about the way the play is structured- I understand it was... full review

Really sharp and funny show. Spot on performances and writing. Don't think I'll ever look at Little Women the same way again.... full review

this is the best piece of live theater i've seen so far this year. it's punchy, clever, and hilarious. the performances are deft and the line reading is artfully nuanced and just rolls out in a seemingly casual effervescence. the concept is genius and the script has many shining moments. i was in stitches the whole time. also, the excellent use of lighting, choreography, constant exits and entrances, and minimal set pieces add to the play's brilliant undisguised energy. Women really deserves to be a hit in a full on run. everyone needs to go see this. run!... full review

Women is such a phenomenal show. The talented actresses are perfectly cast. The writing is witty, clever and absolutely hilarious (I was laughing throughout the entire show!). I am a huge fan of Alcott's Little Women and I've seen a number of Girls episodes on HBO, but I feel like even if someone wasn't familiar with either, they would still love every moment of Women (because it's just that good). Easily one of the best things I've seen at the Fringe.... full review

Billed as a mash-up of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and HBO's Girls, Women is a farcical and hilarious romp through a classic piece of literature, much like A Knight's Tale did with Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Check out the rest of the review at Examiner.com.... full review
