A friend (Olga O'Farrell from "Pedestrian" Fame) and I caught the show last night. It was a very pleasant evening of music. There were several things to love about it. One simple thing is, I left the theatre with my hearing in tact, thank you. The writing of the music was very good, the performances excellent. I especially enjoyed seeing a string base in the show. That is very unusual and brought something extra to the show. All of the female singers were well prepared and did a great job. The men, just as good. The reason I gave it an "Amazing" rating is; Everyone did a well prepared presentation and skillfully showed their skills. They did not try to present everything they ever learned in their musical life, ending in overpower... full review

From the moment Devin S. Norris (pianist) and Owen Clapp (string bass) placed their hands on the instruments to the clever use of props as percussion, I was captivated. The music and lyrics written by Producer/Director Jaeger Christian requires a strong soulful vocal cast. Nora Rothman, playing Geordie Kieffer's boyfriend and the leading lady's best friend, has such a great range. "We Can Be One" came as a full on surprise to me. A very pleasant production, with very catchy tunes and deep subject matter. I never felt as if the content was being thrown in my face, but more like I was given the opportunity to think for a bit. Bring your tissues... This show has the makings of something special. The music is memorable and not overpowering which allowed us to experience the story and the talent of the cast. This cast is phenomenally talented with vocals that are the real deal. Malynda Hale the star of the show, completely dominates the stage vocally and leaves us wanting to hear more from her. Mykell, who plays her brother, has serious star power that I would dare say is underused in this musical. The performance of Nora Rothman is equally as enthralling. I believe this show is very much worth experiencing. I may even go see it again. ... full review

This was a really beautiful and touching musical about finding love and losing it, played out against the backdrop of young men dealing with war and it's aftermath, and how it affects their relationships. The music and lyrics really shined, a much softer offering than most of the other musicals I've been to so far, which was a nice change of pace. The vocals were solid, and the two lead females were excellent, though the acting was hit-and-miss when it came to the supporting roles.... full review
