Ben Moroski is a playwright, actor, screenwriter and filmmaker whose hit solo plays are a staple of the Hollywood Theatre Row scene, enthralling and shocking sold-out audiences for more than a decade — with Backstage hailing his “incredible accessibility [and] naked honesty.”
Ben has been nominated for three Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards, winning once for Best Solo Performance for his play DOG. DOG was also nominated for Top of the Fringe, Best Solo Performance and Best World Premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. His solo play The Wake won Hollywood Fringe Festival’s Best Solo Performance award and his debut solo play This Vicious Minute also received a nomination in the same category.
Ben’s work has been recognized alongside five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening, Emmy-nominated solo artist & comedian Mike Birbiglia and Tony-winning playwright Matthew López, among others. He is a long-time Hollywood Fringe veteran, having produced four world premiere plays at the festival since in 2012.
A Northern California native, Ben is also an active mental health advocate, with a particular focus on helping to destigmatize the conversation around self-injury. He is based in Downtown Los Angeles.
