This is without a doubt the best show-with-troll-in-the-title-and-yet-no-trolls-in-the-show I've ever seen! ...

Let a band of talented and highly committed goofballs make a musical out of the "best worst movie", and what do you expect? This. I expect this: a tongue-in-cheek sendup that never lets being in on the joke interfere with delivering seriously impressive performances alongside midnight-movie camp....

Nilbog (2016) was the first show I ever saw at Fringe, and it inspired me to do a show in 2017. Every since then, I have become a Fringe legend -- and it is all thanks to Nilbog. I was so impressed by the production quality, the performances, and everything in between. NILBOG is a rollicking good time, a romp, funny, goofy, and zany...but packs a gut punch in an odd yet satisfying way. As they say, "you can't piss on hospitality," and Nilbog did everything BUT piss on hospitality -- I felt like I was part of the show and felt completely welcomed into Nilbog myself....

One of the most anticipated musicals of the Fringe, based on one of the worst films ever made, "Nilbog: The Troll 2 Musical," is worth the wait. Even though it seemed I was the only one in the theater screaming "Oh my Goooood" with the actor on stage, it's true what they say, you don't need to see the film to enjoy this ridiculous and hilarious send-up of bad acting, creepy green backwoods cretans, vegetarianism, popcorn and cholesterol, as this rambunctious and outstanding cast utilize nearly every inch of the theater. ...

NILBOG! Where have you been all my life!? When do I get to bring 20 friends and experience you again!? This was, easily, the best show I had the privilege of seeing at this year's Fest. Am I biased because I love the movie so much? Maybe, but that's exactly what I loved about this show so much -- this is a show written and performed by individuals who clearly love this movie, and endeavor beat by beat by beat to bring it to life on stage, as opposed to changing it up. Every actor channels their cinematic counterpart, every familiar line, from famous quotables to throwaways, finds its way to the stage with just-slightly-self-aware delivery, just a non-stop laugh riot for the entire audience, film fans and otherwise. I really hope for huge...

Perfectly staged in thrust at the Cat’s Crawl, NILBOG! is a great musical about one of the best worst movies ever made. The cast fully embraces the ridiculousness of the story, and the audience is on for the ride from the moment we walk in the theatre. Someone give this show a professional run!...
