The solemnity of the dialog was brought to life brilliantly by Betsy and Patty. A day later, I am even more struck by how the actors, in cow costumes, on a nearly bare set, completely engaged me with their expressions, body languages, tones, and non-human (nor bull-like) movements into passionately caring about what could have been a dry exposition of popular psychology and philosophy. I am old, and cry at the drop of a hat. Still, I was in tears and on the edge of my seat near the end, when Betsy and Patty did their Alphonse and Gaston. A scathing social commentary that breaks hearts in the hands of two extremely lovable actors (Jules Bruff and Jennifer DeRosa)They just pull us in. We care for them instantly before we even learn where the show is headed… INSTANTLY… the piece heavily uses vicarious suspense, where the audience knows what’s coming while the characters don’t, and while they flail against their insecurities trying to unpack and rectify their personal failings with everything from confession to revolution, their vulnerabilities are on full-display. I’m sorry there’s just beautiful and tragically relatable innocence that stings you in the chest like a cattle prod.. Just walk in and take a look at the set, the costumes, and you will be immediately swept up, confi... full review

A group of cows are in line waiting for...what? They don't know, though we suspect we do. A conversation between two of them becomes a meditation on the joys and difficulties of friendship, desire for happiness, questions about the hidden and mysterious wider world around them and hopes for a pleasant future for the whole herd, if their curiosity could just breed some adventurous action. There is a bit..maybe more than a bit.. of political parable inside their delightful exchanges, and maybe a lesson to learn as the line reaches the end of the line. This is a really wonderful piece of writing and performance, and with more than a few good, and evil, laughs as well.... full review
