An incredible blend of writing, direction and impeccable storytelling from a remarkable cast, Going Home stands on its own as a show to definitely see this Fringe, especially if you love Mafia-inspired tales. Quick, witty and bold, I loved the script. The casting in this piece fit so well, with breakout performances from the entire cast of Chance Lang, Mo Leblanc, Kory Karam and Vincent Giovanni. Thea Lux's direction was on full display, where each character felt real and as an audience member you felt like you were transported to their world on stage. Fantastic work overall. ... full review

This play grabs the audience's attention early on and continues through the gripping plot to the final scene. Each character was fully developed over the course of the play, a tribute to the playwright and to each of the cast members. The details of the story come gradually as new revelations draw us in. ... full review

“Going Home” is an extremely well written and heartwarming play by Chance Lang. The cast with Chance Lang, Vincent Giovanni, Kory Karam, and Mo LeBlanc cleverly uses the stage to create an intense and emotional story that was captivating throughout. I was blown away! The two characters that stood out for me were the lead character Tommy (played by Chance Lang) and the boss Lou (played by Kory Karam). Tommy brilliantly depicted the hardship of his life and the desire to pursue his ambitions, and the desperation of the dire circumstances he faces with the mob. Watching his range of expressions from naïveté, to terror, to anger while being faced with life and death orders and the consequences from the mob boss was surreal! Bravo!Chance La... full review

I've seen the play Going Home twice, it is a hard biting play that is as tragic as it is quietly hysterical. The four character ensemble, each flawless and vigilant in the personification of their character and craft. The enigmatic Tommy is a uniquely complex character, whose performance manages to elude expectations as it evolves with a scarcity of lines via complex and convincing physical language. The relationships between the characters feel lived in and authentic. This ensemble goes directly to the core content. In a dramatic final scene of the play, Going Home asks the viewer the ultimate question that we must all address in our lifetime. No spoiler here -- this is a precisely executed thoughtful reckoning that provo... full review

Chance Lang stars in “Going Home” a compelling coming-of-age mafia drama and captivates his audience with a well-crafted witty script and dynamic cast ensnared in a play of love, sacrifice, honor, and salvation. Lang keeps it edgy, unfolding the universal complexities of the human condition that reckon with circumstances and choices that can define and defile us. Thea Lux directs a strong and talented ensemble with Chance Lang, Vincent Giovanni, Kory Karam and Mo LeBlanc through intimate scenes that poignantly embrace the uncertainty and possibility of our times. Get your tickets! This is a must see play from an ensemble of gifted actors that we will definitely be seeing more from!... full review
