Sweet Air is a beautifully uplifting piece with a whole lot of heart and just the right amount of nitrous oxide. Everything in this platon-com kept a smile on my face the entire time. The audience is wrapped into the world of a train stop at 3 am, and you can't help but root for the two waiting for their ride on the early morning after Valentine's day, charmingly portrayed by Newton Mayenge and Jenni Chiaramonte, whoms chemistry blended exquisitely throughout the entire piece. Terrific direction by Katie Oliver and wonderful writing by Matt Morillo....

Sweet air is a smart Valentines Day story about a man and a woman, but instead of a cliche romance, it explores real connection and the budding of true friendship. ...

In an ocean of Fringe shows straining for spectacle, one of the best of the year is a simple story, very well told with genuine characters just trying to find a little...happiness. With two extremely endearing and talented leads, this stage rom-com (something quite difficult to pull of onstage!) presents two yearning, maybe slightly damaged people who thoroughly drill themselves into our hearts. Jenni and Newton have wild chemistry as actors! Really great!...

For those whose appreciate romantic comedies, Sweet Air has its own spin on the genre, and might very well be that breath of “sweet air” they are looking for in a Fringe year that is particularly loaded with darker and more tragic comedies. Matt Morillo’s play knows exactly what it is, which is no small thing. And it brings heart to the stage. Congrats to the team!...

Sweet Air is a really lovely platon-com (platonic comedy), a kind of Harry-Met-Sally-meets-Waiting-for-Godot (two people who could fall in love but don't, waiting for a train...). It's a lovely genre-pushing drama about two people looking for love and healing, reeling from past wounds, and staying in the moment to explore an uplifting connection with someone new. Great work!...
