Levatino is not boring
This is a work in progress and as such it's hard to fairly critique anything, That being said Levatino is an incredibly talented and prolific writer. His work is always interesting and worth seeing. He always gets the best actors and has certainly done so here. Anytime you can hang a show on Patrick Flanagan you're going to be in good shape and Levatino doesn't disappoint and the two of them together are lovely I can't wait to see what this turns into. What I think it is and could be is an amazing examination of how men deal with grief. ...

This review is for the 6/14 - 10pm performance. I will be updating this review after I watch the show again.
Christian Levatino is unlike anything theatre artist I've ever met. The work he is able to do within days would be simply impossible within the time frame for most writers - some might even take years or a lifetime to accomplish what Levatino can do with less than a week. Incredible.
This is the fourth play I've seen from Mr. Levatino and it appears to be his most personable yet. Instead of a snapshot into American History, we are given a story about love, loss, and the yearning for real human connection.
The script is filled with intelligent, beautiful dialogue. Each character has so much depth and nuance - they live and bre...

unexpectedly moving and insightful piece. I laughed, I cried, and I left seeing grief, loss, life and even sex from a fresh perspective. It’s a raw, honest, and deeply human show....

The brilliance of this piece is that the playwright makes you think you're going to get one kind of piece and then delivers something completely different, subtly maneuvering it from an (on-line) sex farce in its early scenes to a piece about male (and by extension female/all human) vulnerability and fragility with sex simply being used as a cover for those very human and very frightening emotions. I was extremely moved and am looking forward to future productions to see how it develops (it's in the early stages of "playdom" but already rings true.) This is the REAL DEAL! ...

A provocative work in progress that drives home themes of grief, friendship, and the search of Self within the context of humankind’s seemingly-meaningless but potentially cathartic sexuality. It’s a thinker, a slow burn, an emotional deep dive into characters at a crossroads who in the end only have each other. Lots of gorgeous work being done here. I recommend everybody see it, but not just to be entertained, but to become a vital part of that creative process with Christian Levatino, and part of the story of Gloryhole....

Emotionally Vulnerable Men!
Being a couple of decades older than the play's protagonists, I note a vulnerability and emotional intelligence the men of my generation do not access. Without Robert Bly drumming them into "truth telling" they engage heartache with an uncommon authenticity....
