This was fantastic. You really should go to this if you can. Samantha's characterization of a 14 year old queer girl was nuanced, hilarious at many many times, but also really deep and sentimental, and thought provoking at others. It's a great story, told sometimes in a poetic way at times, other times in a very simple straightforward way. It weaved in what seemed to be perspectives from her future self, reflecting on her past, just truly effortlessly. Samantha is insanely talented. This was hilarious and incredibly thought provoking. Highly highly recommend.... full review

A very thoughtful examination of growing up at a confusing nexus of clashing identities and beliefs, Samantha is an incredible and welcoming performer who, if you haven't seen before, you really should do yourself a favor and experience her... full review

Missions is a gem of a show that I hope everyone has the pleasure of seeing at this year's Fringe. I laughed, I cried, I LOVED singing along with the audience and I went home talking about indigenous lands and thinking about my own ancestral heritage. Please do yourself a favor and see this show!!!... full review

Review: An Immersive Experience: A Queer, Mixed-Indigenous Teen's Journey A Bold and Sensory-Rich Exploration of Identity and Belonging This play offers a refreshing and insightful coming-of-age story that navigates the complex intersections of childhood, spirituality, nature, sexuality, colonization, and intergenerational legacy. From the creator of “This Was Never Supposed To Be A One Woman Show (A One Woman Show),” this production promises to be as funny, chaotic, and irreverent as it is thought-provoking. A Mission of Self-Discovery The narrative follows a queer, mixed-indigenous teen who embarks on a mission trip to her family's ancestral homelands with her suburban church youth group, only to realize she’s on the wrong team. ... full review

you are such a rockstar so brilliant, i loved your show so much. i loved how you moved through storytelling modalities, and the bubble machines were such magic i couldn't believe it watching how they popped into blurry energy orbs. in singing together, and in listening to you sing, and in sitting with the stories you told, i felt so transported and so with you. and so appreciated how despite being playful, gentle at times, you were still so clear in your messaging about the land we're on, how we got here, and at what cost to who. i loved the smells. i wanted to stay and squeeze you and say hi, and i left because i couldn't stop crying in thinking about all the things. thank you for creating such a portal of yourself and your family and of th... full review

Samantha builds worlds with incredible grace and playfulness. She turns her theater space into a sacred storytelling playground and invites the audience in to see the world through the eyes of her younger self. Quick witted, honest and nuanced. This story will have you both laughing deeply and connecting to the people who took care of this land long long before us. ... full review

What an enchanting and thought-provoking piece! Samantha is an entrancing storyteller, and the atmosphere she sets and the relative emptiness of the stage keep your focus squarely on her. The story is by turns charming, unexpected, enlightening, and at all times thoughtful, presented by Samantha in an enveloping, vulnerable, and emotional fashion. Just a brilliant performance! Do not miss this!... full review
