A cheery, overly positive in-home nurse takes on more than she can handle when meeting her new client: a foul-mouthed, demanding and manipulative patient with a bad knee.
As the play, and their relationship, take twisted dark turns, the story intentionally starts to spiral in on itself, turning into a meta character study that delightfully examines the tropes and conventional devices used by the great dark, comedic playwrights of our time.
Vibrant writing that wears its heart on its sleeve without turning sentimental. Bold creative choices with the script and a fierce performance from Vogt make this play an absolute delight....

A beautiful, vulnerable exploration into the fascinating and intriguing mind of the author(s) that has you hooked at every single turn, of which there are many and none that you can predict! A must-see for every single person attending Fringe. I feel sorry for anyone who misses it....

Who needs genres or tones when you've got Roost?! From the opening moment, I was riveted. The character work was on point. KT and Audrey made the text sing. And their chemistry was simply magnetic, synchronized from start to finish. You don't quite know where the play is going and then you really get thrown for a loop as the world unfolds on itself. It's quite a feat of skilled penmanship. But I keep coming back to the acting - the acting was spectacular. I could watch these two all day. A fantastic night of theater....

Roost is a zany dark comedic play within a play that showcases a most formidable real-life Mother/Daughter duo! The writing was fresh, contemporary, at times hysterically funny and other times, tear inducing. And the acting... oh, the acting by both women was razor sharp, edgy, and dramatic in the best ways!! What would it be like to have a conversation with a character you write and get honest feedback? Perhaps it's just as honest as a chat with a parent!...

Roost is a quirky, funny, and utterly delightful play. KT Vogt delivers the goods, as always. I'd watch her in anything she's in. We will be seeing much more from writer and actor Audrey Cirzan. Wonderful to see her imagination in action with Roost. Audrey and KT are a force to be reckoned with on stage. Catch this one if you can!!...

So much fun, and thought provoking. I laughed the whole time, and walked away reflecting on my own ideas of what it means to be an artist. I’m excited to recommend this play to all my creative friends!...

Wow! I was not expecting this! Fun twists and turns and not the ones you think you're expecting. The premise was fun, and comparisons to Pirandello come to mind when your view of the piece is shifted, scene by scene. Uproariously funny, and one of the best shows I've seen so far in the Fringe. The mother-daughter relationship of a creative and their parent is very relatable. Even the most supportive parent can unintentionally derail the creative process. ...
