I feel that this show did an excellent job of capturing the perfect balance of comedy and touching and courageous drama. I think that this show encourages all of us to treasure their relationships in our life, including all of the flaws and annoyances that we find to be so frustrating to deal with in the moment, but we find ourselves longing once that person is no longer in our lives. Ice Cats is a hilarious, heartbreaking, touching show about grief, death of a parent, and accepting our parents for who they are/were. Allie somehow manages to capture the complicated feelings we all have about our relationships with our parents, and shows such raw, real emotion. It's an amazing work of art.... full review

Alli's love and acceptance of her deceased mother's quirky and dark imperfections exudes a realness any audience can connect to. Miller doesn't fall for the storytelling trap of romanticizing the life of her lost parent, but rather celebrates these imperfections through her own talents of charm, humor, vulnerability and yes, even song. Wow wow wow, I LOVED this show! From the moment Alli stepped on the stage and said her first line, I knew the audience was in good hands. This show had everything you want-humor, heart, original songs, and karaoke. Alli is such a confident and effective storyteller. The story hooked me and her performance elevated it to new heights.
