But finding that thread of meaning and expression and turning something tragic in your life into a thing that is not only cathartic, but smart, funny, thoughtful, energizing… That is an entirely different level or artistic integrity. Callie has done this in the writing and performance of Final Girl. This one-woman musical is hilarious and full of courage and soul all at the same time. As an unofficial sequel sharing another true story of abusive relationship, Final Girl does not disappoint — a sincere bravo to her for finding the humor in a scary real life situation, and finding the courage to share this story on stage. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll come out stronger on the other side. One of my favorites this year.... full review
