Dan Ruth
Actor, Writer, Director, Coach, Producer and bartender. Creator of “A Life Behind Bars,” winner of the Lounge Theatre 2018 HFF “Producers Encore Award,” the 2018 NYC Bistro Award for “Outstanding Solo Play,” the 2018 NYC MAC Award for “Best Spoken Word,” and the 2018 “Martha Hill Newell Playwright Fund” Grant. “A Life Behind Bars” was also honored as a 2016 United Solo Festival for “Best Autobiographical Show.” Dan is a contributing writer for W42ST Magazine and the Clyde Fitch Report. Dan made his Los Angeles debut in 2018 as part of the Whitefire Theatre’s Solofest. A resident of Brooklyn, NY for 28 years, Dan now resides in Los Angeles and still makes a mean martini.
