I had so much fun at this show! Dana and Justin work so well together and their characters are authentic and hilarious. Very cheeky but you also really see them individually going through challenges in their lives, questioning whether they still have "it" while navigating very relatable midlife shit! Ann Loud is a most likeable character, a joy to watch and listen to. She has a talent for drawing us immediately into her world. The world she is creating. I loved this show! There is so much to unpack and this show has so much going for it! Hilarious, talented and genuine, Jasmine is an absolute delight and instantly relatable as a young woman dealing with anxiety and wanting desperately to find a solution to her "problem." A small town cemetery is the perfect canvas for these two plays. Though the plays are very different, their themes are similar....those of life, death, regrets and hopefulness. And also the more devastating effects of mental health, racism and addiction. Can you recreate your past and heal the wounds that have plagued your life for years, even decades? Abby Normal is all love... Rarely have I walked into a show and immediately felt the heart pulse, empathy and determined will that went into storytelling, in this case, "Abby's" story. Rachel Kellum who plays Abby is such a delight. She has a beautiful singing voice and I never once doubted that she was authentically navigating the challenges of epilepsy.
