Ernest is one of the best writers and actors ever to appear at Fringe. This is the fourth of his plays which I've seen and as always it is a combination of intelligence and strong feelings. Intellectual and intuitive. Comic at times. Always interesting....

Ernest Kearney is a force of nature. His command of the stage is powerful and funny at the same time. His monologue is built on brilliant images. As with his show last year, "Out My Window," Ernest shows that the greatest creativity springs from the complexities of real life....

This has to be one of the best and most original one-man shows in the festival. Many writers use gimmicks to seem original, but Ernie has gone to the last, best source for originality: real life and real people. His photographs are worth the price of admission in themselves, as he has captured various slices of Hollywood humanity. And he is also an very impressive actor and writer. He presents his fine script with great humor and emotion. This show is worth seeing more than once.

Bella Merlin grabbed the audience's attention and affection from her first line and held both throughout the show. It's not easy to write a story about the 1660s and beyond and make it so fun and immediate. Merlin simply became the ghost or spirit of one of the first women on the London stage. The show is very funny throughout, but moving at times too. Anyone who wants to write or act in a one-person show should see this one.
