Four Clowns presents Me Rich You Learn

julie civiello · July 03, 2013 certified reviewer
Me Rich You Learn is an impressive collaboration between director Turner Munch, artistic director and producer Jeremy Aluma, assistant director Raymond Lee, actors Zachary Steele and Adam Carpenter. The timing, the physical choreography and spontaneity, as well as the willingness to play with the audience were all impeccable coming from Mr. Steele and Mr. Carpenter. I was really impressed with how the actors used the audience, encouraging the collective energy and also really letting themselves b... full review

Expect to see some great physical theater infused with comedy, a taste of childhood and some fantastic red pajamas. I expected to see Charlie Chaplin at any instant. A very sweet show with very strong, creative actors. This one pulled at my heart strings too!... full review

Lost Moon Radio Episode 12

Episode 12 is hilarious, fantastic, highly enjoyable, rousing, wildly exciting! I brought a friend and we were singing the songs in the car on the way to our next show. Martha Marion was incredible. She has impeccable comedic timing and a great wardrobe of characters she can throw on and embody in a second. SNL must snatch her up! I also really enjoyed Lauren Flans – What a great actress! The Virgin sketch was one of my favorites. And I was very excited to see Mike Wells so featured! Great... full review

Four Clowns presents That Beautiful Laugh

julie civiello · June 11, 2012 certified reviewer
An excellent show for all ages. Folks, buy your tickets soon! The house was packed and completely sold out and you don't want to miss it. That Beautiful Laugh is tender, raucous, hilarious and at times very magical, especially in the exploration of Scary Town! I fell in love with these clowns and their energy and their sincerity. One small note is the pacing in the beginning can fly, it felt a little slow. And at times the clowns seemed to want to create a narrative rather than a string of ... full review

Porter's Macbeth "a parody"

julie civiello · July 22, 2011 uncertified reviewer
An incredibly tight, polished, and well-directed show. Turner Munch captains the ensemble cast who are able to transform the space and our sense of time in simple blacks and chairs. A completely movable show, these actors are strong and talented. Porter's Macbeth is a rendition of Shakespeare's Macbeth, except the point of view has been shifted to the keen Porter, whom is very, very drunk. In short, the show is hilarious; I left with stitches in my sides. And I loved every minute of it.... full review

The Yogamerican Dream

julie civiello · July 22, 2011 certified reviewer
A one woman show, commanded by Casey Gates, is a series of vignettes in which Casey takes on a smorgasbord of characters, each having a different interaction with yoga. Some were spiritual, some scratched the surface of meditation with hilarity, some were quite tragic. The show is very interactive and is fed by audience participation; I was asked to "Om," rub my belly, smile, clap, and answer as a group! One thing I missed was a glimpse into who Casey is and everything that is her. I wanted m... full review

Girl Band in the Men's Room

Feeling as though I were peeping through a hole in the ladies' room to spy into the men's room, I viewed the intimate, vulnerable, honest, as well as manipulative story of Girl Band in the Men's room. Even though I was a member of a full house, the ladies performing did their utmost to make us feel like their exchanges were a secret, perhaps because just outside the door lurked the band's manager and mother of the lead guitarist, Rachel, (played by Katherine Skelton)whom the characters, especiall... full review

Four Clowns: Romeo & Juliet

Five Stars all around! I thoroughly enjoyed this production from Four Clowns. To be able to partake in a performance is such a delight; and here there is so much encouragement from these brave, hysterical, & outrageous clowns to join right in. Go and see this show. You walk out still laughing from their delightful interpretation of our beloved Romeo + Juliet. ... full review
