Hailey McAfee is onstage when you walk in and she never loses your attention. Balancing comedy, vulnerability, rage, and compassion, it's truly a virtuoso performance that should not be missed.... full review

Raise Your Hand... From the DEAD!!

The hand is evil! Or is it? This delightfully ridiculous romp takes a pulpy detective novel and adds a dash of horror, mad scientists, and puppet murder. Hoe effective is it? You forget that the actor playing "The Hand" is even there despite the black bodysuit. Such a blast!... full review

Tracers

The impact of this show still feels so brutal. These Fringe newcomers really nail the harsh lives of American soldiers in Vietnam. Great staging and committed actors help keep this piece grounded, terrifying, and all too real. ... full review

Stuck

When your ride breaks down, do you choose to stay on or get off? Mr. Toad's got nothing on this wild ride which tackles the dissolution of a relationship without giving us any easy answers. Inventive staging, offbeat animatronic comedy, and the slow, painful realizations of our main couple make "Stuck" a must-see at Hollywood Fringe! Not to mention an ending that hits you right in the gut.... full review

DI LADY DI

A powerful, fast-paced hour that lets the People's Princess speak for herself. Charlotte Munson is a force of nature, imbuing Diana with a high-energy, wide-eyed genuine optimism. And when she's faced with a mountain of obstacles, her journey to conquer them is both inspiring and heartbreaking. One of the best solo performances you'll see at any Fringe.... full review

Battlesong of Boudica

Top-notch storytelling filled with great action, visuals, and performances. Christopher Johnson has crafted a wonderful script and directs a tight, fast-paced show. Jen Albert leads a committed group of actors as they tackle an ancient story filled with modern relevance with a great combination of sincerity and humor. An excellent example of how you can work within the constraints of Fringe and still put on a fully-realized, high concept production.... full review

The Second Coming of Joan of Arc

A quietly powerful script anchored by a stunning solo performance by Amanda Wagner. She commands the stage with a poignant aura of earned swagger and confidence as she looks right at you, telling you that you will listen to Joan's story. There's a directness in the script, the acting, and the on-point direction by Alyssa Escalante that make this production feel fresh and relevant without ever pushing too hard.... full review

The Bearer of Bad News

A fascinating, bizarre journey into the issues surrounding pregnancy, healthcare, and choice all with a Twilight Zone twist. The actors had a solid grasp of the language and seamlessly glided between drama and unexpected comedy. An excellent example of how a show can get started at Fringe, and I can't wait to see where it goes.... full review

SON OF A BITCH

Son of a Bitch is a tremendously entertaining look at a controversial figure in Lee Atwater. Non-conventional casting, tight direction, excellent performances, and a haunting look at what American politics would eventually come to made this one of the best shows I've seen at Fringe.... full review

Bat Knight!

Pure lunacy in its finest form, Bat Knight! is a love letter to the dark knight while still being accessible to non-fans. The humor is smart in its own absurd way, the performances are fun, and you just can't help but walk out with a huge, Joker-like smile on your face.... full review
