A Bella Incarceration snuck up on me in the best way. Bitingly hilarious thanks to the ingenious work of Ann Noble as the rebellious Bella, there's also a very moving core. This switch is handled so effortlessly and thoughtfully, I found myself tearing up just after busting a gut laughing. Definitely one of the best you'll see at Fringe.... full review

Fickas: It's About Time is a refreshing, funny, poignant Fringe entry that explores growing up (or not) in the face of only getting so long in this life. David Fickas is a masterful storyteller who can recount childhood stories, address the randomness of death, and do a pratfall effortlessly in under an hour. Don't miss it!... full review

Amen was an interesting play filled with creativity and commitment from all parties involved. While the story could be confusing at times, it takes chances with what it wants to say, and I really appreciate that.... full review

Ice Cats is way funnier than you may think a story about a dead mother would be. But those of us who have been down that road know that you have to find ways to laugh, or else you just cry. Alli Miller has zeroed in on that to create a hilarious, moving show that goes to some truly bizarre places. Made even more bizarre because it all happened. Talk about a hell of a eulogy, one of the best shows I've seen this Fringe.... full review

This Song Reminds Me Off...kicks off with a musical bang that forces you to get on your feet to truly experience it. Both a love letter to the days of peak emo rock as well as an inspiring coming of age story, Kelsey Flynn is a magnetic force to be reckoned with. There's not another show quite like this, and it stands out as one of the best.... full review

Party Princess takes us on a chaotically hilarious journey of a woman just trying to do her job, entertain the children. Amanda Kuo is engaging as our heroine as she navigates demanding children, angry parents, and worst of all, CAPITALISM.... full review

Rock Bottom manages something truly remarkable, it makes Midsummer feel fresh! Charlie Day's Nick Bottom is a wonderfully charming egoist who slowly but surely lets us in to the world of pain he contends with day ion and day out.... full review

Batter Up: Double Play is a marvelous continuation of Brett Moore's previous Batter Up show in 2019. Masterfully juggling random trivia, incredible mental recall, and genuinely moving stories, Brett Moore makes you feel like you're chilling at home with a beer talking to your cool uncle about who won the World Series in 1954. Much needed in a week where we lost Willie Mays, probably the best to ever do it.... full review

Lessons From Children's Books is a valuable lesson in judging books by their covers. Darkly funny, sweet, and heartbreaking, Phillip Reilly does a superb job of putting us back in a school assembly. His descent into these stories is wondorous, not to be missed.... full review
