MisShapen

This production was raw, beautiful and at points hard to sit through (not in a bad way). Misshapen makes you take a look at yourself and say, you are beautiful no matter what. It's hard to do but this show forces you to do it. It makes you face something that isn't easy to face. It's something that we all struggle with. I seriously have to applaud the creative team (director, writer, designers) on Misshapen as a whole. It is a HUGE feet to be able to have this big of an impact on an audience, ... full review

Finding Elizabeth Taylor

A beautiful heart wrenching show about a woman who hailed from California and moved to New York. Beautiful images, beautiful lights and projections. She performed with such artistry and mastery that one can only be compelled by here vulnerable and personal performance. Congratulations Elizabeth Taylor!... full review

This show is a gem. Not hidden at all but a gem that MUST BE SEEN! This show has so much relevance to today and personally hit home with me. Even though many moments are hilarious and seemingly light, the subtext and deeper meaning is very heartfelt, thought provoking, and personal. I was very happy with this production. The acting and direction were solid and strong. I loved every moment. The stage pictures were gorgeous and the personal private moments shrouded in comedy were refreshing. ... full review

Me Love Me

This script is great! A fantastic inventive and playful script that had a strong plot and themes along with personal touches from the playwright that were both tragic and refreshing. The actors, on the other hand, were good but in their heads for much of the show. They made interesting choices and strong ones at that but they were not consistently in the moment. But don't let this get you down, the actors had many nice moments of clarity and strength. The direction was clear and nice but t... full review

Lemon Boots

Lemon Boots is a breath of fresh air. It's a fantastic show with beautiful symbolism and images. I loved the simplicity of the story and how no plot was strongly being pushed in this production of the show. It was lovely seeing how they (the ensemble of artists) had to be inventive with their set and technical side. The only major pieces of criticism that I had are very small and sometimes out of their control. I wanted more from the production value, as in the lights and design of the set. Ag... full review

Luna Noctiluca

This production, directed by one of my friends and esteemed colleagues -- Brooke Silva, is a great conceptual piece and a tough on at that. It's no east feet to put a show like this up. I commend her and the cast and designers for a of their hard relentless work. On the other hand, the show lacked polish. It needs some reworking and cutting of the script, as do ALL original pieces of art. Things get cut and put back in constantly. But I thought the idea was interesting. It's a very ambitious ... full review

The Fire Room

The Fire Room is an inventive, highly modernized, cutting edge, in your face, sharp piece of artistry. It's such a great and fresh idea. The show itself reminded me of the story "Dante's Inferno" but more contemporary. I applaud the actors, design team and director. MASTERFULLY DONE! Amazing and stupendous work done by all. It was a very selfless cast of actors whom constantly stayed in the moment, played actions, and tried to keep the momentum going. One piece of criticism that I had was ... full review

Mud by Maria Irene Fornes

Mud written by Maria Irene Fornes (mentor to one of my favorites -- Karen Hartman) is a show that many know and respect. It's one that I have heard about but never got the chance to read or see performed. I'm glad I did this evening. This production was an interesting one. Many decisions were made that were both strong and weak but the fact that choices were made is something to be applauded. Directed by Shaya Mulcahy, her choices were very personal and fascinating. The blocking was her most n... full review
