Visiting with Shakespeare’s women not only allows us to pry into the critically acclaimed and passionately interpreted work of their illusive author, but more importantly into the minds and bodies of the iconic female characters and their famous soliloquies we all know and revere.

“Songs from the Sea” is a jazz-theatre hybrid consisting of thru-composed score,performative improvisation, poems and spoken word inspired by ocean stories and water mythologies. The intention of the work is to connect listeners back to the organic in a hope to inspire awe and motivate conservation.

This is the partner to the WILD TONGUES PRODUCTIONS project in development "INTO THE BLUE". We are collecting stories in relation to "water" from female identifying and non-binary performers over an immersive day workshop, which will then inspire the development of an evocative performance.
