About the Project
This is the partner to the WILD TONGUES PRODUCTIONS project in development “INTO THE BLUE”. We are collecting stories in relation to “water” from female identifying and non-binary performers over an immersive day workshop. We will then work with an ensemble to devise and develop in under a week an immersive and evocative physical theatre and dance eco-feminist performance. In the session participants will be guided through impulse activities as well as movement and sound workshops with encouragement to explore creatively. We hope to inspire creativity in the community, as well as stimulating discussions around important topics of women’s rights and environmental conservation…but we are also open to learning! We will draw inspiration from mythology but are looking forward to hearing how these ancient stories and the feminist narratives surrounding sirens, mermaids and seal folk relate to us all today.
