Fantastic! I'm an out-of-towner, but I loved learning about public transportation in L.A. through Tamra's storytelling, excellent character work, and comedy. A gem of a show.... full review

Strange Beings

This imaginative Sci-Fi show brings out the best in the genre and the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The acting, directing, design and stagecraft are excellent. Day for Knight prove themselves to be Fringe veterans, having nearly mastered the form here. The limitations spark innovations, and early on begs question: what if they had more time, space, resources, etc? This quickly becomes irrelevant, as Nicole Knudsen’s deft directing steers this ship towards something greater. She’s asking hard questio... full review

This show was truly amazing! The writing and directing was incredible, the actors didn’t feel like they were acting, and the plot was so intriguing! I loved all the small details and I never found myself becoming bored. There was such a good balance of comedy and dramatic gore, truly unlike anything i’ve seen before.... full review

A funny and moving peek into the world of a Dresser on Broadway. A testament to the fact that a performer's inner world is best communicated through art, regardless of whether they're onstage or backstage.... full review

Completely astounding. Every second was a new twist and it was impossible to be disinterested while poetic chaos reigned on stage. This is a must-see for anyone willing to be shocked and changed. Run to Women Who Eat and witness Devin Davis-Lorton’s genius as a writer, actor, and producer.... full review

Lady Satan

Lady Satan for President. Seriously. I left the show feeling hopeful, inspired, and weirdly patriotic but specifically about rainbows and ethereal trans beings. Peyton does not shy away from anything — she boldly confronts our present moment as 100% authentically herself. And it’s a beautiful example of how we should all show up, for ourselves, each other and the community. ... full review

A WILD RIDE. Totally genre-defying. Inventive use of the audience. A solo show (???) but so much more than that? I’ve never seen a “partially immersive” show be so effective. It’s not what you think, and not what you’re expecting. I’m so glad I went because it really opened my mind to what GOOD, expressive, expansive, entertaining theatre can be! ... full review

I have been making professional theatre for 32 years. I have taught theatre in several schools. I love theatre. And I have watched my fair share of shows that did not really work or that were on the way to. Bad shows too. This is by far the worst show I have watched in a very long time. And this is not because of any stylistic or genre or artistic shortcoming. This was a scam. So, so unprofessional and so full of itself. Was announced as an hour long show for 23 dollars. It lasted 9 minutes. The ... full review

Fringe is not yet over, but I think this may be my favorite show so far. Artfully executed, this solo show showcases a performer who truly understands the assignment of owning the stage and telling a story with her whole body and voice. Truly becoming each character, unraveling a tale in a non-linear but deeply spellbinding way, this artist covered so much emotional ground, it left me breathless. ... full review
