Julia brings a hurricane of energy and talent to the stage as she sings, dances, broods, ponders, laments, and recreates a lifetime of male gas lighting before an audience who are joyfully along the ride with her every step of the way. ...

I thoroughly enjoyed this show! It played out like a movie set, and had a fully flushed out storyline, a great balance of drama and comedy, and explored topics and themes that are so real for artists especially the dynamics in their relationships when they are pursuing the “Dream”. There is a piece of every artists story in this play. I was fulfilled!...

I don’t know the last time I saw a show that had me so tightly in its grip. An incredibly effective and moving piece — a mirror especially for milennial gay artists who have wrestled with the importance of doing art and following passions while navigating a world where the “easiest thing to do” is to not do the thing you love. ...

You will fall in love with Rachel and her love for her mom. She makes their relationship very present and real, with playful and imaginative flourishes throughout. The magic file cabinet was genuinely delightful, and the (spoiler alert) death scene was so emotionally real and beautifully conceived... I realized then that the tissues handed out in the beginning were no gimmick!...

The world-building and pop culture gags landed flawlessly. The clash between the Beyonce rebels and the Olivia Wilde stans was chef's kiss. Every single actor brought 110% to the stage. The stakes during their play-within-a-play were so ridiculously high that it honestly felt like watching someone desperately try to beat that no touching forsaken Game—just pure, stressful survival mode where one wrong move gets you executed on live TV.
