I loved so much about this piece. The subject matter is one that needs to be addressed and attention paid to it. The cast was extemely strong and attacked the material. We did however, lose so much of the great writing and beautiful intamcy with the intrusive voices. Trusting the skill of the lead actors we can hear Greg's voices without having to see them. It was so distracting having so many voices on stage. Is this live character or a voice? Trust the writing and trust the audience. If it was...

This show was so incredibly special! Kel welcomed us in to their life story with honesty, vulnerability, and their wonderful humor. To witness the path to their self acceptance and love was so moving and funny. The show's message is one that I feel everyone can relate to. Love the good and hard times as they make you what you are today. I left happy, joyful and have tickets to see it three more times!...

Excellent and engaging! This show held my interest and attention the entire time. It was like reading a good book with a main character you become attached to because they draw you in with their warmth, authenticity, humor and unique story. The presentation style and content is very special, like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
Penina’s use of honesty and humor throughout made her so lovable. I wanted to hear everything she wanted to share. ...

OMG. This was such a great show! The story line is beautiful, the cast members are strong. There were no bad actors on stage. They were all so good in their roles and convey the exact conflicts that the writer wants to convey. At the surface this appears to be just a love story between two teenagers. However, its contents revealed racial injustice, economic inequality, lack of freedom out of fear for certain ethnic group, and generational pains....

PAPER FLOWERS is a must-see! A genuinely fantastic story of love, family, and injustice, rooted in a woman's story of finding her voice. The show crosses generations and speaks to the state of the world today seamlessly, with wonderful characters that easily make you root for them in seconds. The acting here is fantastically on point, and the messaging couldn't be told better or more seamlessly with the characters' stories. ...
