Must see! If you have religious trauma, you have to see it. If you don’t, you still do. This show is for everyone, regardless of your relationship with a higher power (or Veggie Tales). Dans physicality, easy humor and gorgeous storytelling will bring you into his world with ease, and break down your barriers long enough for you to really learn about yourself. ...

solo show
This is one of the greatest solo shows I’ve ever seen. I saw this show at Solo Fest last year and needed to see it again at the Fringe, because it affected me so much. Dan Prevette has a gift that surpasses most in terms of storytelling, humor, depth, wit…..and then I don’t know how to use words to express it further because the show leaves me speechless. Yet, I wanna shout from the rooftops for everyone to see it. ...

I'm a believer... in DAN PREVETTE! This atheist was astonished by this revelatory (usage intentional), supremely well-crafted, stunningly written, performed and directed show. Superlatives get thrown around a lot at fringe, but this show earns them. It's a tour-de-force on every level. ...

Dan's Missionary Positions is a powerful theatrical storytelling standup special that will have you in tears from both laughter and raw emotion, regardless of your background or engagement with spirituality. Worth seeing again and again, as I have, and I will. So you better buy yourself a ticket before I hoard them all. I'm sure Dan would like to perform for more than just my crying ass....

This show is as technically smooth as it is smart and entertaining. Dan brilliantly utilizes characters, accents, props, and projections to create the world of the show, and it is impossible not to feel the heart he put into sharing this story. Missionary Positions is not only the story of Dan's relationship to religion and fundamentalism-- it is a shared catharsis that invites the audience to acknowledge their individual journeys of faith and grief. I know this show will stick with me for a long time, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet Dan and see this performance. ...

Dan takes you on a journey that covers the whole globe in his search for self and a complete reckoning and investigation of his soul in the pursuit of truth.
Insanely funny, deeply moving full of profound insight we are all in desperate need of.
What it means to exist in this world is a question that requires constant redefining. Dan tackles the core elements of what it means to be human in this rapidly changing world (this review was not written by AI, btw) and he does it with skill, depth and charm.
I sincerely hope you go and see it!

"Missionary Positions," written and performed by Dan Prevette, was a thought-provoking, and deeply vulnerable personal solo show that dove head long into the complex journey of faith, doubt, and self-discovery. Prevette's background as a former missionary kid and recovering Evangelical brought a unique perspective to the exploration of spirituality and the human experience. Looking around the audience after the show I was struck with how many people were either touched by the show or resonated with it on a such a personal level. ...

A hilarious and moving show that examines grief, growth, and human goodness wrapped in gut-punching comedy. Dan is a force to be reckoned with, and his storytelling ability and onstage presence is captivating! The show is so well written and takes you on a journey through his own personal experiences, from childhood as a missionary kid, to examining what faith even means now as an adult. You’ll definitely laugh and you’ll definitely cry, so you definitely need to see this show. ...
