Austin Powers meets Rocketman! This musical based on Prince Harry is delightfully quirky, unique, and WTF-worthy. It had me laughing so hard my face hurt. The whole production is perfectly timed at 50 minutes, synchronized with the cyclorama screen, as Chris Chianesi throws himself into singing and dancing. It's incredibly fun and dazzling, and unbelievably, Chris himself writes all the songs. Mind-blowing! The tunes are catchy and fantastic, making you tap your feet even while sitting. This short performance, which can only be experienced at the fringe festival, is a must-see. We should give a standing ovation to the incredibly talented Chris Chianesi!... full review

You can't get any Fringier than this solo performance musical, based on the life of Prince Harry. With its hilarious title and the idea behind it, "PHL@C" is unapologetically silly and fun; there's nothing to be learned here, unless you really start reading into it (I mean, the real guy can't seem to get a break). Chris Chianesi's high-energy creation is masterful, his techno visuals are vividly appropriate and I left humming the tunes. I really enjoyed this slice of escapism that runs way under 60 minutes. If "leave them wanting more" is still the best theatrical device, then it worked for me and the rest of the audience the night I saw it. I want to see more. ... full review
