Such a fun and bizarre evening filled with play and ridiculousness. Alex Kern's alcoholic (my interpretation) and lonely party host 'Cynthia' brings us all in along an evening of laughter, discomfort and joy. Alex's crowd work is so great and I could watch the Cynthia character she has created for a long long time.... full review

Deeply funny and deeply tragic, all at once. It is very rare to see a writer and comedian successfully embody their material in way that takes the art to a new level. ... full review

This show is insane in the BEST way. It's weird, interactive, fringey and fun. It gave me Cole Escola vibes. ... full review

I loved this show so much. An excellent performance that blends clown and improvisation and character and heart and a little look at ideas held about what makes a "good" hostess. If I had the chance I'd see it again, because I know that each show is different with how much Alex plays with the audience.... full review

This show has so much good going on. Clowning that welcomes you and makes you uncomfortable. Alex’s character is lovable immediately with a pathos that i worried she wasn’t aware of. Like a family member you worry about. In my show, audience members were protective of her. The show is very fun! And dark. John Waters comes to mind. ... full review

Alex is a gifted performer who gets into character and has no reservations about what she does. It's unique, odd, hilarious, and possesses a deep melancholy at its core. This show (among the hundreds at Fringe) is one you will remember. ... full review

I went in not knowing what to expect and I left being blown away. I thought it was brilliant. Alex's Cynthia creation reminded me of a character from a Tennessee Williams play; someone oblivious to the real world and who fancies herself to be socially dynamic when in fact she is lonely, awkward, and desperate to connect with another. I loved the audience interaction and improv and it showed Alex's quick wit. This has been a show I recommend to people. ... full review
