It’s rare to see a performer let the audience be the main character, and it’s fascinating to watch. By playing such an absurd character, Alex picks and chooses audience members to be the “straightman” against her craziness, and it’s a blast for everyone to see. Plus, the climax of this show is beautiful and totally surprising.
What I didn't like
No notes! I wouldn’t even dare.
My overall impression
5/5 melons. Alex plays the audience like a fiddle! She’s a master at crowd control and even when playing unhinged and uncomfortable, she’s unbelievably charming. She get’s such huge laughs out of doing something small it seems to defy possibility, but she does it. This is a performance to watch, and maybe watch twice, because there’s no way two shows will ever be the same.
