What I liked
I LOVED how alive Mark was in the room. I loved the meta stuff, the breaking of the fourth wall, dropping back in, the absurdity, the huge characters and the very grounded adult “Mork” — it all played. Highly recommend! Five Star experience.What I didn't like
I would like to note that if I had learned the lessons of this show before 11pm on that fateful Sunday night I probably would have taken my ass home, instead of staying out way too late before the start of a huge work week. But, FOMO is real. I am a people pleaser. And since I had reserved the ticket, I didn’t want to let the stranger who was performing his solo show down. I mean that is insane! INSANE— just like this show. I loved it. Thank you for it.
My overall impression
I loved this show. I was doing that hissing, breathless addictive laughing, when you start to wind down and you think you might finally exhale and the laughing starts back up again. This show had my number. It made me laugh and got me right in the heart. And there is a LESSON! Seriously! Perhaps it’s my geriatric millennial showing, but this show really spoke to me. I saw it at 11pm on a Sunday night and on Monday I negotiated my obligations to serve me and my priorities. I want to be clear though, this is not a funny TedTalk. It’s legit, it’s personal, and it’s super weird in the best way (his 11 year old self hit VERY close to home for me.) GO SEE IT.
