God I love a pre-show, the action is instant. Jill is in full panic and it’s wonderful to see as soon as you come into the theatre, establishing the tone and sucking you into the world Jill Young, Calliope Weisman, and company have so deliberately crafted. The space’s small arrangement allows for some truly wonderfully intimate moments which can heighten the laughs or increase the intensity of the drama of the moment. The set is wonderfully made with such attention to detail of an elementary school production. The little stars should be proud of the elbow grease they put into making those set pieces. It’s impressive just how large Jill and Calliope have made the space feel in the flow and blocking of the piece. All at once we can be ... full review

The most fun show ever!!! Omg Jill. You are so captivating on stage, I can’t even verbalize it enough in this review. It was a tossup on which of your characters I liked the most. You played all the characters so well, especially the kid. My favorite part! Amazing comedic timing as well. You were born to do this. ... full review

Amazing performance. I also found the meta audience interaction very fun--though if you're a person who does not like this, I recommend sitting a few rows away from the stage.... full review

My wife and I had a fun time attending "Macbeth" at the Fringe Festival this evening, beautifully directed by Calliope Weisman and written and performed by the very funny Jill Young. We saw it on closing night, but if it comes back, don't miss it.... full review

I was so excited to see this show and it did not disappoint. Jill is such a dynamic performer, interacting with the audience with such ease, and taking us on an emotional ride throughout. I even found myself experiencing existential dread at the end. Little Stars was crafted with such intelligence and ingenuity. I was surprised up until the very end. ... full review

An exploration of someone coming to terms with a break-up, their own identity, and their own brain, all at the end of the world. It's gut-bustingly funny and I'll admit it - I also cried. How do they do it??? This show is perfectly crafted genius. A well-deserved sell-out show, should be on everybody's must-see list.... full review

A Fringe stunner! One of the best solo shows I've ever seen. Jill's acting, comedic timing, and exasperated dealing-with-little-kids voice hooked me the entire time. I didn't want the world's ending timer to go off so i could keep watching this evocative piece!! The jump back and forth between trying to keep up a facade and put on a show while dealing with the realities of fear and death was so prominent. Jill perfectly embodies how it feels to do such a seemingly trivial thing like theater in the face of a doomed world...yet convinces us all of its importance at the same time.... full review

A show that deals with the need to perform, be perfect, heartbreak, the end of the world, and whether any of what we do ever even matters. Oh, and a dash of mental illness. Young folds all this into 50 minutes while keeping the show light, even silly, because the conceit is that this desperate character is going to perform all of Macbeth because, eff it, the world-is-ending-why-not. If these are the stakes this character needed to show us everything, it’s worth it, because she shows us the drive to create despite having to work a job and the catharsis of grief during a breakup when you *don’t* run back into their arms. I dug this show. ... full review
