Hilarious in both concept and execution, with a light dusting of existential dread, you've got to make sure you see this....

I attended the final performance of this show last night. It may seem strange to do a review for a show after it has wrapped up production, but I wanted to share my thoughts. This show was absolutely AH-MAY-ZING!!! It was an emotional roller coaster ride in the best possible way, and it had me going right along from start to finish. Working at a middle school for my day job, I could completely understand and empathize with all of the frustrations and rewards that come with working with pre-teens. The raw emotion and heart come through here beautifully. The facial expressions and body language portray volumes without ever needing to say a word, although the script itself is spot on. The central concept of this show is nothing short of genius,...

I actually had no idea of the premise before I walked in - I had heard the show was fantastic and Jill was hilarious but I knew nothing else and I was just blown away. I laughed SO much but it also sort of broke my heart. Jill had us at the very start - a slightly deadpan, but mostly just grounded in reality character that we laughed at and with and loved and understood and also happened to be. The crowd work was excellent, the timing was *chef's kiss* and I loved Devin the nervous 8 year old. I really enjoyed this show. ...

This is a wonderfully imaginative show from front to back. Variety show-esque with a lot going on, the show still maintains a potent thematic through line surrounding the hopes and promises of our twenties. I'm eager to see the iterations of this show to come....

It was a unique take, a twist from the very beginning of the show to the end. The play going through catastrophe and what would happen if the apocalypse were to rain upon us, what do we do but having the show go on....

We had the joy of seeing the closing show for MACBETH! What a tour de force! I can't say enough about the brilliance of the concept, the writing, and the execution. So glad the world didn't really end so that we can see what Jill Young creates next! Congratulations to one and all that made this show possible!...

The ultimate Fringe theater experience. Jill Young captures the struggle of teaching children, anxiety, and performing Shakespeare while also dealing with the end of the world. Calliope Weisman's deft direction along with the simple, yet incredibly effective art direction make this a truly transformative theater experience. ...
