This felt like Coraline x Book of Life. The story is engaging and my God it has the best set out of ANY Fringe show I've seen this year. Shoutout Rody for writing such a great story. I felt like everyone was perfect for their roles. I also really felt like their use of the stage was phenomenal and smart. This was really something special that I really enjoyed watching. Infierno is a hellish theatrical journey as magically absurd as it is beautifully tragic. I was amazed at the level of visual spectacle this show was able to achieve-- I would love to see this on a big stage one day. This piece explores cultural, familial, and spiritual questions, and welcomes the audience to consider their own morality and mortality. An incredibly innocent I’ve show. The set and the staging are incredibly cool. It was horrific! It was gross! It was cathartic! It was GREAT! I remember clearly toward the end, during the song, I had to sit there and take a moment to remember that this was a live performance, that I was actually there in person, that there wasn't a screen protecting me from the emotions, that the actors were right there.... full review

A very fun ride turned absurdly entertaining by the creative team's unique touches. The concept of finding redemption far too late into someone's life is morbid and touching in it's itself yet not entirely unoriginal. However, the wackier elements of the performances (especially Alejandro Jimenez's multiple roles) and the striking direction made this play really stand out among the rest. I only worry of the play's accessibility to non-Hispanic audiences due to the dual languages the story is built on, but that is a learning experience for me.
