Miguel Perez directs with confidence and style. The play was produced without an intermission and this allows the story and the complex issues raised to be developed without interruption. This creates a clarity that helps an audience make up their minds as to what they just saw and how they feel about it. Miguel has obviously created a safe space for the actors to go to difficult places and to completely commit to what they're doing. Really great direction and top notch acting. Bravo!... full review

Director Miguel Perez’s casting, staging and interpretation of David Mamet’s Oleanna is spot on and contemporary. Claire Wagner and Jean-Michel Richard delivered a captivating performance skillfully portraying the escalating tension and emotional depth between their characters. Exploring themes of gender roles, academic authority and thought provoking questions about truth and perception, left me to again ponder the lines between victim and perpetrator. This production of Mamet’s searing play is a must see! ... full review

Great job! A boldly provocative production! Director Miguel Perez is a fantastic actor himself, with a lifetime of brilliant experience. In his debut as director, he's mounted a great show with a wonderful cast. Jean-michel Richaud and Claire Wagner are terrific in David Mamet's tour-de-force (and now classic) "Oleanna". I hate to write a negative review but I feel it is very necessary. If nothing else is taken from this review, please change the content warning to be more thorough. Right now it says “strong language and depictions of violence”—please include “mentions of sexual assault and rape” and PLEASE specify “gender-based violence.” This play should not be produced anymore because of it’s dated content that was clearly written by a man as well as directed by a man. The direction was fantastic and the actors were so skilled and talented, really everything about this show was great except the content and messaging of the play, as well as the lack of clear content warning.... full review
