Laura really comes to life in this play as she takes us through her 80s, describing in humorous, self-deprecating monologue the memories of a 23-year-old virgin girl growing up in the confused time of Reagan and Madonna. Laura's storytelling is fun, deeply personal and magnetic. Watching this play is more like a living room conversation than a formal play. Her use of electronic media (videos, 80s music) is fitting and before the play begins she makes a point for the audience to switch off their 21st century communications devices, for better authenticity. However, it is a little odd and ironic that she displays her videos on three flat-panel televisions, rather than a cool 80s Magnavox or Sony. I guess practicality wins over artistry... full review

Laura was a pleasure. Loved her personal interaction with the audience. Such a heartfelt story sprinkled with humor and nostalgia. The eighties style (ironically done as a powerpoint) video really captured some of the sights and sounds anyone around in that time will remember. I would see it again! Great job Ms. Hayden!... full review

Having also growing up in the 80's I found this not only very entertaining but also a nice reflection down memory lane with all the references from music to cars to styles, etc. Laura did a great job telling her story. Although it was an emotional and tragic incident she made it laughable and entertaining while also getting her painful message across. It was funny and touching at the same time. I have seen it 3 times and would see it again! Good job Laura!!... full review

A frolicking romp through the 80's - not so much a performance as an intimate conversation with the audience. Her use of the sights and sounds of the 80's, including some great movie clips and songs, made the time fly by. I thoroughly enjoyed the show - well done Laura!... full review
