From the opening moment there was a call and response with the performers and the audience...this was like being at a Rock Concert. Wild, intimate, over the top, funny, edgy, sure-footed, soft, sexual, crazy, rapid-fire, nerdy, and that is as much the audience as it is the performers. Throughout the show people got so caught up in what was going on they started talking to the characters. I haven't ever seen that in the theatre, always at concert or a comedy show...think the audience wanted to be on stage with the performers. I loved each character. It was nice to see a show where the characters actually drive the story, as opposed to being just plot devices. The writing was excellent. I was very impressed with the direction...this director a... full review

So silly and funny and a rocking good time. Great premise, well executed by deeply talented cast and great rock combo. Funny lyrics, and nicely sketched out characters where they are ALL wacko, but no character is portrayed in a mean-spirited way. This, I think, is a big key to the enjoyment of the show. From the opening/preshow to the rousing reprise of the 'Fire' song, I was so glad to be in the theatre. And, really, there's no reason why this show can't play beyond its Doomsday date. I really think it's got the makings for a cult hit. ... full review

This was the most fun I've had at the theatre in a looong time! The show was funny, original, and incredibly energetic. The live band and catchy songs were a great addition and the cast worked effortlessly well together. Specifically, Sarah Chaney and her "husband" in the show, played by J. Todd Howell, kept me laughing the entire time. Aside from their comical chemistry, some of the notes Sarah hit during their song together were unbelievable and gave me goosebumps. This was my first time seeing anything at the Hollywood Fringe theater and now I am a complete convert. Hopefully the show gets extended so more people get a chance to enjoy it. I highly recommend it!... full review

This show required significant effort to achieve the well-polished appearance that it had. I was so impressed by the perfect assembly of parts. The stories were all relevant. The songs were well written and entertaining. The cast were interesting The casting itself was brilliant. The singing was good but not great, regardless, the showmanship made up for the slight weakness in that area. The host and writer of this wonderful play is simply an artistic genius with so many talents to share. I look forward to further work from him. Definitely a must-see. ... full review

A solid ensemble cast with standout performances brings life to this timely and satirical look at a motley collection of dysfunctional personalities gathered at a community center to celebrate the end of the world. With a score that hints at themes from well-known rock musicals while managing to weave in a tribute to '80s synth-pop, Michael Shaw Fisher draws the audience into the delightfully schizophrenic world of the Doomsday crowd. Fisher's performance as a charismatic cocaine-riddled opportunistic d-bag is in itself intoxicating, and Sarah Chaney brings the house down when she cuts loose with a powerful rock-soul lament about the woes of a repressed masturbating evangelical wife. This musical is a must see.... full review
