What a rich part of American history told through the eyes of a journalist as the eyes of a city, the city of Chicago. This was such a joy to watch, and the historian in me was screaming for more! And the acting sucked me right in; fantastic story-telling....

Mitchell Biscchop is a tour-de-force in this one-man show about newspaper columnist, Mike Royko. Poignant and heartfelt, his storytelling keeps you wanting more and while the story happened decades ago, it feels very current. Not only is the show entertaining, it also gives great historical context to the columns that Bisschop uses as the throughline of the piece, weaving multiple columns together effortlessly and with a deft stroke of humanity throughout....

Phenomenal. From second one I was hooked. I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining piece about a journalist (Mike Royco) who reported on so many historical moments. Absolutely iconic. His words on subjects from the 1960s-90s ring just as true today. Feels timely - especially all the 1968 references. The parallels were astounding at times. The show was funny, political, sweet and sentimental. It reminded me a bit of Trumbo. (That's a compliment!) ...
