Wow! I was not expecting to come away from a 30 minute play feeling so many different emotions! "Dismissed" was able to capture the energy and frustration that was felt during the 2020 protests against social injustice at the hands of the US Law enforcement, while seamlessly tying in a meet-cute love (and lust) story. It was nice seeing an open and HONEST conversation between two strangers, and served as a reminder that there is more going on behind the veneers we tend to put up to be "socially acceptable". And the actors served as brilliant partners to writer/director Carol Becker, translating her words into a beautifully eclectic display. Definitely worth seeing!...

A charming, thought-provoking, and funny short play! Carol's sharp writing allows these two wonderful characters play with each other, challenge each other, and find comfort and hope with each other in the least likely, least romantic place--a jury duty holding room. Highly recommend!...

This two-hander boasts great performances from its two charming actors, as the audience gets to watch their little romance unfold in a cleverly written and engaging short play. The American justice system, which so often gets it wrong, can’t help but get it right this time by bringing these two characters together!...
