What I liked

Subject matter and concept aside, Rebecca is a talent of super-human proportions. Her timing and delivery is impeccable, her physicality is precise and delightful. The comedic writing is fine-tuned between the characters she portrays and the emotional honesty of the dramatic writing is so direct and given freely in a way that transcends traditional acting. We may well have been visited by someone from another planet, trying to teach us how to be better humans.

What I didn't like

I can’t think of what might be improved in this show. Although Rebecca was using a cheek microphone, I didn’t pick up on anything in her voice that was amplified, and it wouldn’t have helped in any case as her natural voice conveys more from the stage than if I’d heard it coming from a PA system.

My overall impression

I have a hard time finding words to put to this show. Emotional, vulnerable, honest, hilarious, heartfelt, moving…yes, those are all words and can be used to describe this production, but I still feel like it falls short compared to how affecting this show is to the audience, or just me in particular. The sound design, video, and physical performance combined display the incredible amount of effort and thought were put into the writing and preparation. As a solo show, Rebecca’s personal story is as unique as the concept of individual sexuality she is demonstrating to us all, and in doing so, teaches us about ourselves as well.
