What I liked
I really appreciated all three actors and the performances they gave. At times hateful, at times raucous and, at times, heart-wrenching… I was along for the ride throughout the piece and was curious how the sisters were going to make peace with their past, their loss, and how to move forward together. Very well written and directed!
What I didn't like
I was a little confused about some of the sound effects used… thunder storms, I think?? That seemed to come out of nowhere. Additionally, I was a little confused about what I thought was the ending of the show not being the actual ending. It made sense to me and my friend as the end, so when the show went on, I was a little confused.
My overall impression
I appreciated all of the genuine humor and smack-down sibling rivalry within this show. Make no mistake, there was some serious trauma these characters were dealing with, but the story was told in a way that allowed the audience to embrace the dysfunction these two sisters have been dealing with for years. I absolutely appreciated the over-the-top comedic elements and found myself laughing out-loud many times!
