What I liked
What was great about the piece was that there was a lot of heart and soul and the actors really brought the characters to life. It brings me great joy that the writer is bringing attention to this topic and educating us not only on the artists but on the issues they faced within the music/entertainment industry.
What I didn't like
Some improvements that could have been made was including a short intermission and maybe some mics as some of the lines were difficult to hear.
My overall impression
Rock N Roll Heretic was an engaging musical piece that reminds us about the challenges black musicians faced/still face in the music and entertainment industry. It’s a story about history, healing and ultimately hope.
