Gordon Matheson‘s second musical far exceeds his first in every way. The story structure, characters, casting, the production, the choreography and singing, all of it really works, and the direction by Soda flows incredibly well. Gordon always comes from a place of caring and love and this musical encompasses those themes quite well. ... full review

A wonderful message with a talented cast with beautiful music. I really like the truthfulness of this show. We all have our "secrets" and those secrets can make or break us: usually break us. I appreciate this story because it reminds me that I am not the center of the universe and that I should work harder to show kindness and love to others and to myself. Very inspiring.... full review

That Gordon Matheson is a wily cat. No sooner has he begun what at first feels like an off the cuff extemporaneous introduction to the show, then you realize that before you know it, there's music playing underneath him, and the show itself has already begun! An inspiring semi-autobiographical stream of consciousness look at the power and strength of the human spirit to rise above deep personal loss, disease, relapse, and mental illness and be of service to both ourselves and others.... full review

This was a beautiful and engaging show. Gordon uses music, dance and storytelling to deal with the topic of addiction and recovery. Yet, it is uplifting, with the postive messages of hope, self love and redemption. The performers were lively and the music positive and upbeat. Gordon show is a plea to spread more love and understanding, delivered in an entertaining way. Great show... full review

I enjoyed it! I left confused, but the catchy songlets, positive energy, and indefatigable sincerity won me over. To the newcomer I say: don't worry if you haven't seen the original No Matter Watt. It won't hurt if you haven't, and it won't help if you have. Shubop feels like a topical revue, perhaps in the spirit of Hair. It's structured like an AA meeting, full of direct-to-audience confessions, fragments of personal journeys, chanted mantras, random hugs, and gobs of mutual support. Don't look for a coherent story, but there's definitely something appealing about this rough-hewn piece.... full review
