What I liked
These three actors fully embraced their characters and went all-in on taking the audience on journey that was at times hysterical, but other times, devastating. Finding love is never easy… for anyone, let alone the protagonist/antagonist. The character George is definitely one that I will not soon forget!
And I must give special kudos to the acting chops of Raphael Buenaventura (and for fear of giving away too many spoilers, I’ll just say OLIVER!)
What I didn't like
I will admit a little bit of confusion about the winged creature. It raised more questions for me that left me wondering how long had George been tormented…
My overall impression
I ADORE dark comedies that capitalize on over-the-top characters being pushed to the edge. This show DELIVERED and then some! I must applaud the writing which had me in stitches from the first few moments and kept me laughing out loud throughout the entirety of the piece!! The dialogue was sharp and not shy of “going there” – so if you get squeamish, GO ANYWAY and tell me you weren’t roaring at times!
