I liked all the characters and “Vito” was a great part of the script and the actor did a great job of punctuating comedic moments. I also liked how the story underscored an immigrant’s experience of having contributed successfully to society, but then getting screwed over and getting pushed into a corner to make what would otherwise be immoral decisions. I appreciated this very human, and realistic, story.
What I didn't like
It all worked for me.
My overall impression
A serious topic told with comedic flare; I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The serious moments were well-balanced with light-hearted and funny moments. There’s room for contemplation and a reminder that the immigrant situation isn’t so black and white. One knows a show’s succeeded when one can walk away having been both entertained and made to think.
