I dug the sentiment of this show but it was too long and the important subject matters were too flippant....

A warm story with great acting! America is a county that provides freedom and makes dreams happen. Watching a skilled immigrant's touching story, the desperate conditions of the regulations and the power of the friendship will pull you inside. I did not understand how 90 minutes had passed....

This was the best Fringe Festival production to date. The direction was outstanding, Director Ashley Karp never lets me down. Her casting of Evan Causey Alesha G, and Martin Hardlund blew the house down. Her staging worked incredibly well, allowing for sunsets within the larger stage. Yusuf Yildiz’ script was funny, touching and, most important, made me think about the intersectionality of life issues. Thank you Ashley Karp for your incredible talent and bringing together such gifted actors. This is a production not to be missed. ...

A great & a very relatable story, good flow, amazing story telling, a well planned timeline of events & great ending.

Not That Illegal brings to the forefront the difficult choices that immigrants must make in order to stay in the United States. The play also presented issues of what truly constitutes a marriage. Does a marriage require love? Can two people with no physical attraction, but strong platonic love form a legitimate partnership? Writer/actor Yusuf Yildez brings his own personal experience, and comedic chops to present a hilarious and touching story.
The actors have also brought their A game to keep the audience engaged. My disbelief was thoroughly suspended.
This piece of live comedic theatre deserves a watch. You will leave with a smile on your face, and a new perspective in your mind.
10/10...
