Very entertaining and a unique show. I loved the story and the enthusiasm actors brought on stage. As a foreigner who has dealt with immigration in the US, that hit the spot for me. Thank you for the laughters!...

Yusuf has written a charming, funny comedy that is brought to light be fun, engaging ensemble. From the experiences of some of best friends, I know that the immigration process can be horribly frustrating, dehumanizing, and sometimes heartbreaking. Bravo to Yusuf for creating this play to speak to those experiences and make us laugh along the way. ...

Assailing American socioethical ills!
Not That Illegal is not only topical and socially inoculating - in this increasingly theocratic, xenophobic fascist country - but it is side-splitting and has lots of heart. Yusuf Yildizโs somewhat autobiographic script has gotten quite tight and it shows! This cast is extremely talented with comic timing for days. It is incredibly difficult these days to come upon a piece of theatre that not only sets out to accomplish it dramaturgical intent, but is also incredibly engaging and entertaining. I canโt wait to see what Yusuf has in-store for future projects. Highly recommend!...

It was really a thrilling comedy. It was a very satire of our immigration system and it touched our feelings, our critical thinking, and our senses of humor. Truly enjoyed it!...

The premise is interesting enough: a same-sex marriage to result in a green card; however, when comparing it to works with similar premises such as The Odd Couple or the ridiculously homophobic I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, the show already feels behind-the-times. If the end of the show had resulted in, say, a character's coming out, that would definitely improve matters, but the show is a story about immigration that ends with a very awkward position regarding homophobia and same-sex marriage. For example, the entire ploy to gain a green card is completely foiled because the two main characters refuse to kiss one another. In other words, they would rather risk prison time than kiss a dude. Unintentional as it may have been, the endin...
