What a joy! Catchy tunes and skilled performers. Well staged as well. I only wish I could’ve seen it in person. Even from home it was engaging and delightful. ... full review

All in all, a very fun, high energy, tight and well-executed afternoon of family theatre. As always, Shapiro produces an up-beat, well-cast, energetic show that has the benefit of excellent singing voices, tight ensemble acting, and creative and imaginative staging. I think it has earned its Fringe accolades and Shapiro is not only an extremely talented artist, but a kind, supportive and professional part of our community. I wish him every possible success. ... full review

Wonderful! I wish it had been twice as long! Charming, energetic and witty performances by the whole cast. It's clear Shapiro loves the fantasy genre, stirring a host of beloved ingredients into his cauldron to conjure a fresh, new stew. The direction and choreography are inventive and always broaden the scope of the story upon its canvas. The themes of aspiration and persistence are absolutely terrific, resonant and very welcome and the hero's guiltless personality was a breath of fresh air. Bravo! ... full review

I'm more of a person who gets a kick out of gothic operas than the bubbly, brightly-packaged song-and-dance of musicals (remind me to catch Les Miserables). GATB really made it palatable for a curmudgeon like me. I was very impressed with the musical score and how catchy the songs were - I found my head bopping to the melodies. It reminded me of the Disney tunes I heard as a child by Alan Menken. The wit, satire, social commentary, and snark infused into the storyline were also a delight. I remained thoroughly entertained throughout. Hat tip to the talented cast, crew, composer/writer. I'm going to have to give musicals ... full review

Wonderful show! It took a couple of minutes to figure out characters and plot, but once the main characters were established I was hooked. I liked the quasi-renaissance style of the musical numbers and the quality of the singing. Bravo to all!... full review

A fun and colourful romp with great songs. And swords. The tale of a stable-hand who yearns to ride to the heady heights of an assistant to an assistant of an assistant of a cavalier. Really, what more do you need?... full review
