The humor was deliciously inventive in the best way possible! For me, I can only say that I left there having a much greater appreciation for my body’s ability to withstand the unimaginable. If I say to all the ladies out there to be mindful of a potential FIRE IN THEHOLE, I hope you know what hole I’m referring to and offer your most sincere empathy to this solo artist just trying to make it day-to-day! And I cannot stress this enough – we all need a “Violet” in our lives in some way, shape, or form!
What I didn't like
Only on the nitpicking side, perhaps trimming down a few of the less crucial sections would help strengthen those sections that carry the glorious soul of this piece.
My overall impression
Come ready to feel all the FEELS!! This solo show is chock-full of such blissful humor (most of it, stand-up comedy level worthy), such endearing tenderness, and such raw chutzpah, it’s impossible not to cheer for Cancer THRIVER, Rebecca O’Brien! While describing her various encounters on the bus and along the way to treatment, you get to meet a glorious hodgepodge of individuals, some friendlier than others. At the end of the show, I loved the message about finding your TEAM and allowing them to be there when you need them.
